Muziek speelt een belangrijke rol in mijn leven. Ik bezoek graag concerten en ook thuis luister ik veel naar muziek. Een tijdje terug werd ik benaderd door iemand van het programma Brok in de keel. Zij hadden op mijn homepage gezien dat ik daar veel songteksten heb staan. Dat in combinatie met mijn levensverhaal leidde ertoe dat zij vroegen of ik interesse had mee te werken aan dat programma. Om diverse redenen ging dat (nog) niet door. Het nummer dat ik uitgekozen zou hebben is Total eclips of the heart van Bonnie Tyler.<\/p>\n
Toen ik net blind was geworden hoorde ik dat liedje en luisterde goed naar de tekst. Die was opeens zo toepasselijk geworden… Telkens rolden er tranen over mijn wangen als ik het hoorde. Inmiddels ben ik jaren verder en blijven die tranen achterwege. Toch blijft het een prachtig en ontroerend nummer, waar ik nog altijd een brok van in mijn keel krijg.<\/p>\n
